MEMUS ACCIDENT VICTIM NAMED

THE sixteen-year-old youth who was killed in an accident near Memus in Angus on Saturday evening has been named as Callum Alexander Morrison.

The accident occurred at about 5.15 pm on the access road to Turfachie Farm, Memus, by Forfar.

A Blue 50cc Aprillia motorcycle ridden by Callum was in collision with a grey coloured Range Rover.

The sole occupant of the Range Rover provided first aid and summoned the emergency services.

Police and Paramedics attended the scene and administered first aid but Callum sadly died at the scene.

The immediate area was closed to allow for investigation to be carried out.

Tayside Police are interested to speak to anyone who may have seen the motorcycle or Range Rover prior to the collision.
