A young Forfar rider is to represent her country at the Royal Windsor Horse Show next month after attending the Mounted Games Scottish Team Selection Trials.
Louise Hill (13), a member of Angus Pony Club, booked her place after competing against riders from all over Scotland.
She will now represent Scotland at the Royal Windsor Horse Show from May 14 to 18.
Louise, from Muirlands Farm, Lunanhead, will compete against teams from England, Wales and Northern Ireland with the final and trophy presentation being held on Sunday, May 18.
She has been riding since she was only three years old and competed in her first Pony Club Mounted Games competition in 2006 at the age of six.
In 2009 she made her first trip with the junior games team to the Pony Club Championships in Derby. This was to be the start of her many journeys south and the next four years her teams qualified and competed at the Pony club Championships now held in Cheshire.
The pinnacle of Louise’s career in mounted games came in 2012 when her senior games team qualified for the Horse of the year show at Birmingham where they were placed third overall.
Louise and her pony Foxy travel to Ayr each week to practice with her Scottish team. She will be supported by her fan club at Windsor and anyone who would like to help sponsor her trip can contact Fionaanguspc@aol.com
