Information about the local arrangements for the Commonwealth Games in Angus is now available on the Angus Council website – www.angus.gov.uk/games2014
The information includes the traffic restrictions that will be in place in Barry and Carnoustie during the five days of the shooting event at Barry Buddon.
Councillor Jeanette Gaul, chairman of the Angus Commonwealth Games steering group, said: “With just over a week to go we are keen to make sure the Commonwealth Games in Angus is an enjoyable event for residents as well as the 6,000 plus spectators going to the shooting event at Barry Buddon between July 25 and 29. The information now available on our website details the local arrangements which will be in place for parking, waste collections and access to local areas during the event.
“We are writing to residents and businesses in the areas directly affected to make sure they are aware of the specific arrangements for their street. Elsewhere in the town there should be minimal disruption to day-to-day life.”
Traffic and on-street waiting restrictions are detailed on the traffic management plan. More from the ACCESSLine on 08452 777 778.
