Over the last few months members of Forfar Inner Wheel have dusted off their knitting needles and picked up never forgotten skills to knit for the ‘Fish & Chip’ babies appeal.

Every day babies are born into extreme poverty in Africa. Many are born already infected with HIV, or premature, and their families are so poor that the babies are sent home wrapped in newspaper – giving them the name ‘fish and chip’ babies. The project has been very popular with the Inner Wheel members, their families and friends. Overseas Organiser Lynne Tasker recently received a parcel with four jumpers by post all the way from Australia!
