HOME SOUGHT FOR 'HUNGRY HORACE'

THE Forfar and District Branch of the Cats Protection League has issued an appeal in an attempt to find one of their strays a home.

Horace, a stray neutered boy who is grey with four white paws, was admitted to a local vets on May 28 having been injured in a road traffic accident in the Arbroath area.

He was found to already have had his jaw wired, suggesting a caring owner.

A spokesperson for cats protection said: "When a few days later, to the vet's surprise, no owner had come forward they contacted Cats Protection to see if we would take him on.

"We agreed to fund his x-rays and operation to repair his jaw again, and then admit him into foster care for cage rest to recover from his injuries which also included his back and front leg.

"He is a lovely boy who his fosterer named Horace as he is always hungry!"

Horace still has a squint jaw which might remain, he is around eight years old but still very playful, very friendly and he loves cuddles.

He will have the wire removed from his jaw in the very near future and would love the offer of a safe and quiet home away from busy roads.

The Forfar and District Branch would be glad to receive any offers of a home or financial help so it can continue to help other unfortunate cats like Horace. The Branch telephone number is 0845 371 2063.
