Breakfast time as Strathmore Primary School just got more fun thanks to community group Viewmount Voices.

The group recently presented the school with a donation of £200 to buy toys and games for the children who attend its breakfast club.

The breakfast is free to all who attend and is run by volunteer Lorraine O’Brien, who has been providing and paying for items herself to keep the children amused.

As the club has no funds to buy games and toys, Viewmount Voices member Jamie Henderson approached Asda and Tesco in Forfar which both donated items.

A further donation was given by the Viewmount Voices committee.

Jamie said: “The money is raised by selling Loons Lottery tickets and then we receive our percentage which is kept to improve Viewmount and those who reside there. As a lot of the school children live in this area and surrounding area, we believe that giving to the pupils at the local school was a great idea.”

The donation was presented by Viewmount Voices chairman Allan Watt, Yvonne Watt and Mr Henderson.
