Free support with organising events

Following requests from small local event organisers and new groups for more detailed support in organising events, the Angus Event Organisers Network will be running two half day sessions to assist them.

The sessions will share the secrets of planning and promoting local community events.

The two sessions will explore all aspects of event planning, PR and marketing, budgeting and funding, delivered by event manager Eleanor Whitby of Red Pepper Events and PR consultant Wendy Glass.

Organisers should preferably be able to attend both sessions, to be held on Thursday, April 18 at Angus House, Orchardbank from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. and on Thursday, April 25 at the same time.

To reserve a place email externalfunding@angus.gov.uk or contact Alison Smith on 01307 473222.

The Angus Event Organisers’ Network aims to support organisations running events in Angus and the website www.angusahead.com/Event-Organisers has useful links to resources.
