British Heart Foundation Scotland is urging people in Forfar to donate bags of unwanted items to their local BHF Scotland shop to Bag it, Beat it.

Every bag donated, to the shop on Castle Street as well as the others nationwide, will fund life-saving heart research, helping over 40,000 little heroes continue to fight congenital heart disease.

Before the charity was founded, only one in five babies born with congenital heart disease saw their first birthday, let alone their first day of school.

Thanks to pioneering research, now around 4,000 children across the UK are able to experience their first day of school every year.

The BHF currently invests over £14 million into congenital heart disease research, but needs help to raise more.

Everyone can get involved by simply filling a bag with good quality clothes, shoes, books, handbags, DVDs, CDs, bric-a-brac and toys and taking it into the local BHF Scotland shop, located at 3 Castle Street.
