Community radio for young people
YOUNGSTERS from Angus Youth Action, supported by Angus Council community learning and development service, are planning to set up a community radio station, to be broadcast over the internet and based in Angus.
The group aims to engage all groups in Angus through radio, to deliver skills, build community spirit and connect communities to the agencies that serve them.
There will be training opportunities and skill accreditation for anyone who wants to be part of the station and these can include in such areas as radio production, recording equipment, interview and questioning skills and research for the radio.
Anyone interested in becoming part of the planning group should attend the next meeting of the group on Tuesday, February 5 at 7 p.m. in Angus Council’s Bruce House, Arbroath.
Anyone who cannot attend the meeting but would like to be kept up to date on developments of the group should e-mail aya@angus.gov.uk with your contact details.
For further information on the group please contact Rikki or Grant on 01307 473662.
