Catering at Forfar farmers’ dance

This weeks Down Memory Lane photograph will bring back memories to the popular farmers dance held in the Reid Hall in the 1960s. It was kindly sent in by Margaret Mackie, who used to run the Commercial Hotel. Margaret recalls serving three sittings on the stage of the hall at the dance. She ran the hotel for 15 years, from 1951 until 1965. She is pictured here with, from left, Joe ?, Wallace Bruce, Jack Christie, Montrose, Bob Fenton, Letham, Jimmy Hepburn and Dave Sturrock.
