Capers at the castle

Cortachy Castle is the setting for the annual Highland Games and Flower Show.

Kirriemuir and District Round Table has made an appeal for more members as it prepares for its major fund-raiser at Cortachy Castle.

Tablers are putting the finishing touches to arrangements for the regular ‘Capers at the Castle’ charity event on Saturday, June 21.

The evening starts with a buffet and wine from 7.30 p.m.; the second part of the evening sees everyone move on to the Northmuir Hall where there will be a disco until 12.30 a.m. This event has become a favourite in the Kirriemuir calendar and as always there is an open invitation to anyone in the local community to join in.

Round Table hugely appreciates the ongoing support offered by Lord and Lady Airlie for the event which allows Tablers to make donations to local individuals and charities, as well as ensuring continuation of the annual bonfire and fireworks display in the town in November.

Tickets cost £17.50 and are available by calling 01575-573961 or 574608, e-mailing kirriemuirroundtable@gmail.com or contacting any Round Table member. A bus will be available from Kirriemuir to the castle and back to Northmuir Hall for a small charge. Potential Tablers should also contact the numbers above.
