The popular Christmas card delivery service offered by the 2nd Forfar Boys Brigade and 6th Forfar Scout Group is now well underway.
With the final day of posting set for tomorrow (Thursday), volunteers have been busy collecting, stamping, sorting out and then delivering the cards in the Forfar area.
The collection boxes can be found in the three churches of Scotland in Forfar - the East & Old, St Margaret’s and Lowson Memorial; superstores Asda and Tesco, Co-op stores at Abbeygate and Dundee Road; shops at Gallowshade, Easterbank, Taranty Road and Thornton Park; McLaren Baker on Market St; Watt Butcher on North St; the Indoor Bowling at Suttieside Road and all newsagents in town.
Please address your cards clearly for delivery in the Forfar area, Lunanhead, Kingsmuir or Padanaram and add 20p for each card, in a bag preferably.
The final collection date is Thursday, December 12 for delivery on December 14 and 15.
All the money raised is split between the two organisations and last year some £7,763 was raised with over 38,800 cards being processed.
