Annual remembrance

THE FORFAR Branch of the Royal British Legion Scotland will hold its annual parade, wreath laying ceremony and church service this Sunday.

The service will be held in the Lowson Memorial Church commencing at 11.30 a.m.

Prior to that the parade, formed by members of the RBLS, civic dignitaries, members of the local clergy, Armed Forces representatives past and present and officers and members of the uniformed and non-uniformed youth organisations, will take part in a short service and wreath laying ceremony at 10.50 a.m. at The Cross.

The parade will muster at the Myre at 10.30 a.m. prior to the service, before proceeding to the Lowson Memorial Church.

The wreath laying ceremony at Balmashanner will take place at 2 p.m.

Crosses for placing at The Cross War Memorial are available from the Forfar Branch of the RBLS, Town and County Hall and council offices at No 7 The Cross.
