This year is Scotland’s Year of Listening, an initiative aimed at promoting good mental well-being.
In support of this, there will be a Listening Post at Angus Council’s Communities Department at Fairlie House Kirktonhill Road, Kiriemuir on Thursday (February 4) from 11am to 1pm.
The event aims to encourage people to take some “Breathing Space” to look after their own well-being, raise awareness of the Breathing Space helpline and promote the Year of Listening.
As well as a willing ear, tea/coffee, cakes and bacon rolls will be available.
The Breathing Space phone-line (0800 838387) is a confidential service for anyone in Scotland feeling low, anxious or depressed. It allows people to open up when they are feeling down.
For further information about the listening post contact Kirsty MacLean on 01575 577244.
