Library Corner

As the nights draw in and Christmas approaches, with your cards written and presents wrapped, now is the time to put your feet up with a cup of coffee and a good book.

Where else can you get such a wide selection of titles to borrow other than from any of the Angus Libraries?

Bus to the Library

For those of you who have mobility problems, Forfar Library runs a free monthly bus to the library. For details and times contact 01307 476476.

Gift ideas

If you are still looking for presents then why not try the range of local interest cards and publications. These start at 50p and there have been people sending them to friends and relatives abroad.

Children’s News – Forfar

A warm welcome always awaits you at all Forfar Library’s groups. There is something for all ages, from babies and toddlers right up to teens. On the wait up to Christmas why not try the Christmas colouring competition and design your own sleigh for Santa. Pick up a competition form and hand it back in to the library before Christmas to be in with the chance of winning a prize.

Children’s News - Kirriemuir

The library has its special Christmas Bookbug session on Wednesday, December 12, at 9.30 a.m. when there will be singing, rhyming and reading of festive stories for the under fives. This is a great way to have fun with your child while they learn new rhymes and develop their listening skills.

A reading lunch club has started recently at Southmuir Primary School and over the last few weeks the primary threes have been learning about pirates, monsters and witches.
