Fairtrade products were also purchased by those attending.
FACT treasurer Jean Alexander said: “All of the proceeds are being donated to ‘Mary’s Meals’, the charity supported by FACT for the past year.
“We would like to thank all the members who generously donated big pots of lovely home-made soup each week, offering a choice of six or seven varieties. Also a big ‘thank-you’ goes to everyone who helped each Friday, and to all who supported us, not forgetting St John’s Church for allowing us to use their hall for the weekly event.
“The wintry weather has not stopped the canny folk of Forfar from enjoying delicious homely fare.”
