A major fund-raising venture to be held at Glamis Castle in September has received the support of the colourful Lady Boys of Bangkok.
Marie Curie Cancer Care’s three Walk Ten events in Scotland got off to a glamorous start thanks to the cast members who joined Marie Curie representatives for a strut along the beach.
The first of three 10k walks to raise money for the charity took place on Saturday at Dalkeith Country Estate and The Glasgow Walk Ten takes place at Pollok Country Park on August 16.
The Glamis event is on Saturday, September 6.
Jo Findlay of Marie Curie said: “Admittedly, heels aren’t the first choice for most Walk Ten troopers, so the charity hopes supporters will get their walking boots out and start striding for this great cause.
“Everyone can join in with Marie Curie’s Walk Ten events. It’s a great opportunity to do something different with family and friends and to raise money for people with terminal illnesses and their families.”
