FORFAR could be one of the next locations in Scotland to welcome a branch of the popular fast food chain, KFC (writes Sarah McLean).
Although still in the early stages, a spokeswoman confirmed that the company is considering a move.
If the development was to go ahead it would create around 30 jobs to benefit the local area.
A spokeswoman for the franchise that operates KFC in Scotland said: “As one of the UK’s favourite restaurants, we’re always looking for new locations.
“We’d love to open a restaurant in Forfar because we know there’s a lot of demand from locals, and a new store would create around thirty jobs in the community.
“It’s early days so we can’t say too much at this stage but we hope to have some good news in the future.”
KFC opened a branch in nearby Arbroath earlier this year.
