A CALENDAR, which aims to help people keep themselves healthy and safe in the coming year has been launched in Angus.
Local authority leader, Councillor Bob Myles, unveiled the 2012 Safe and Sound calendar at the Glenloch Centre, Whitehills Hospital in Forfar.
The calendar, which will be distributed across the county, each month highlights a different topic including energy saving tips, dealing with bogus callers, fire safety, preventing falls and other aspects of physical and mental wellbeing and safety.
Councillor Myles said: “This calendar provides useful information and advice on a range of subjects and I’m sure it will be of benefit and interest to those who receive it.
“It has been produced collaboratively by Angus Council, Angus Care and Repair and NHS Tayside and is an example of the good partnership working we enjoy with our colleagues in these organisations.”
There is a limited number of free calendars available.
If an Angus resident would like a calendar they can e-mail the Angus Adult Protection Committee firstname.lastname@example.org
