MEMBERS of Glamis and Area Community Council (GACC) are organising the first ever Glamis indoor Christmas market this year.
It is to be held on Saturday, December 3 between 1 pm and 5 pm and will be followed immediately by the Christmas light switch on in the village.
Many of the stalls that are to be attending are local organisations trying to boost their funds, including the Glamis Parent Teacher Association, Charleston Playgroup and the Charleston Village Hall Committee which are desperately trying to raise funds to pay for the rebuilding of part of their hall.
“This is a brand new event which GACC are holding and we are trying to really promote it as much as we can to encourage people to come along,” explains a community council spokesperson.
“If it is a success then we intend to continue this event in future years which would be incredibly beneficial to our local community.”
