The inaugural Joyce Bruce Memorial Show was held in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support at the Pathhead Equestrian Centre in Kirriemuir.

Mrs Bruce owned and ran the centre with her husband, Ally, until her death in February. The couple opened the centre, which has a purpose built indoor arena, an outdoor arena and tracks for trekking, on the family farm on the outskirts of Kirriemuir.

The show, which was the idea of Mrs Bruce’s 12-year-old niece Abby Christie and her friend Nicola Dobbie, raised £3,690.

Joint first in the In Hand 16 and over class were Hannah McArthur with Woodlands Miss and Ashleigh Walker with Cameron.
