WHAT a year it has been! I feel like it has simply flown by, as it doesn’t seem that long since I celebrated my birthday in the heart of Paris on a June weekend back in the summertime.
A year passing quickly can only be a good thing, however, as they say time flies when you are having fun and I think that this has definitely been the case with 2012.
I have had a wonderful time at the Dispatch and Herald in the last few weeks and have felt most welcomed by all and have covered some very interesting stories in such a short (but quick in passing) time frame.
It is during the festive period we get the chance to reflect back on the past 365 days, whether good or not so good, and make sure that 2013 is even better.
I would say that 2012, for me, has been amazing. I have learned many new things and I am thoroughly enjoying my work. If 2013 is even half as good I will be pleased.
Make sure you see the new year in, whether out and about or quietly indoors, but most importantly of all is to stay warm, stay safe and have a jolly good time with whatever you are planning on getting up to.
One final thing before I crack on with this pile of work - I would like to wish all readers a very happy Christmas and send my best wishes to everyone for the coming year. Have a good one.
