A series of health information events is being planned for patients of the Academy Medical Centre by the practice’s patient participation group.
Open to all registered patients, the varied programme has been organised in conjunction with the Angus Community Health Partnership.
The first event is on Tuesday (May 20), when the subject will be ‘Healthy Ageing’ which aims to cover subjects including ageing, staying active, managing medicines and the prevention of trips and falls with talks given by local healthcare staff.
The second event, on Tuesday, June 24 will be about ‘Memory and Mental Health’ which will again be delivered by local health care staff, and the third is on Tuesday, August 26, which will cover ‘Men and Women’s Health’.
All events will take place in Room 19 on the ground floor of the Academy Medical Centre from 3.30 p.m. to 5 p.m. during which time patients are free to listen in and to ask questions of the speakers.
Anyone who is a patient of the practice is welcome to go along and be informed about their health and how they can improve their well-being.
