A NEW free information morning for people living with Type Two diabetes is to be held at Whitehills Health and Community Care Centre in Forfar today (Thursday, November 8) from 10 a.m. until noon.
The meeting, which will be held in the Lintrathen Room at the centre, aims to provide up-to-date information and highlight the support that is available locally to help people living in and around Forfar and Kirriemuir who are living with Type Two diabetes to live better.
Rhona Guild, Primary Care Manager, Angus Community Health Partnership, said: “It is important for people affected by a long term condition to have access to the right information, education, support and services to help them manage their condition more effectively.
“There are already very well established Diabetes Forums in Montrose and Arbroath offering additional information and support to people living with diabetes and their families. It would be good to have a diabetes forum locally for the communities living in and around Forfar and Kirriemuir.
“It will be a very informal meeting and friends and relatives are very welcome to come along and join us. This is the first meeting and I would encourage members of the public who have Type Two diabetes to come along to the information morning at Whitehills.”
Places at this morning event are limited so if you are interested in going along call Rhona Guild on 01307 474889.
