At last week’s meeting of the Kirriemuir and Old Parish Church Guild, an interesting talk was given by Eric Summers, recently retired rector of Webster’s High School.
He gave members an insight into his 17 years at the school as well as his early years of teaching at other schools. Mr Summers pointed out that Webster’s is at the heart of Kirrie and the glens and was particularly proud of the girls’ football team which won the Scottish Cup in Edinburgh. He also spoke about the school’s link with Litein School, Kenya, where the hospitality was tremendous. He finished by pointing out what the future holds for pupils.
