Going out with a bang?

Forfar Arts Guild will hold the last meeting of the current season in the East and Old Church hall in Chapel Street, Forfar on Thursday, April 26 from 7.30 pm.

The evening will begin with a short annual general meeting at 7.30 pm, but it may well be one of the last, since during the season, attendances have seldom been above twenty-one people. With the retiring of the secretary in April 2013, next season’s programme could be the last.

But this session is definitely ending with a bang, as Kirriemuir-based singer Christine Kydd performs at 8.15 pm, hopefully giving the company a tour of ‘My life in Song.’

Christine is not only one of Scotland’s foremost singer-songwriters, but with certificates and diplomas in voice production and folklore and ethnology, having worked with bodies from Guildford School of Acting to many of Scotland’s Councils, with children and adults, and her work locally in helping to establish Angus Folk now going strong, her CV is extremely impressive.
