Forfar man Gary Milne has set himself a mountain of a challenge to raise funds for a worthy cause.
To keep himself “ticking over” during the summer, the Glasgow University graduate has been preparing to take on the country’s 10 highest Munros in an epic triathlon which he intends to complete over three days.
An experienced triathlete, Gary’s route will take him 245 miles across some of Scotland’s grandest scenery and through some gruelling terrain as he raises money for the Scottish Mountain Rescue Service.
The 23-year-old is also a keen hillwalker and decided to support the voluntary organisation in recognition of its importance to walkers and climbers.
Starting off at Loch Lomond next Saturday, Gary will swim, cycle and run all the way to Aviemore supported by his parents, girlfriend and a number of friends who will accompany him on different sections of the route.
