It has not been the best of seasons for gardeners, but, some remain optimistic and enthusiastic.
Eassie gardeners are preparing the ground for a blooming good entertaining evening and hoping for some topical tips for landscaping around the new community hall.
So if slugs have attacked the salad, the pot plants are pathetic, the soft fruit is spotty or the flowering shrubs don’t flower come to get the answers to your horticultural problems at The ENKCA Gardeners Question time evening.
Herbacious enthusiast Pippa Clegg of Kilry gardeners club, Ally Bruce commercial horticultural lecturer at Dundee college, Rex Brennan soft fruit specialist from James Hutton Institute Invergowrie along with the prize winning Sheena and Hamish Lamond from Coupar Angus will form the panel of experts with a wide and varied knowledge on all plants and their problems.
The event will be held on Wednesday, August 24 at 7:30 pm in Eassie and Nevay Hall,Balkeerie.
Questions can be submitted from 7 pm on the night.
All are welcome with admission and tea £3.
A plant swap stall will be run where, for a donation to hall funds, plants can be brought along and swapped.
Lily of the Valley and various plants will be on sale and orders can be placed for snowdrop harvest 2012.
