The Castle Street area of Forfar will experience some disruption from Monday (March 14) while Angus Council undertakes work to widen pavements.
Tayside Contracts will carry out the work over a week and while Castle Street will be kept open for traffic, drivers are being warned they may face short delays which would be necessary for workforce safety.
The one-way system on Canmore Street will be removed for the scheme’s duration.
Pedestrians will still be able to access all properties but but barriers will be placed around areas where work is being carried out. Anyone who needs access to a property should speak to a member of the workforce who will assist.
Bin collections will not be affected but anyone with particular needs regarding access or mobility should contact the council on 01307 473172 so alternative arrangements can be made.
