With only a month to go before the curtain rises on their latest show, the talented local youngsters who are appearing in Forfar and Kirriemuir Rising Youngstars’ production of Guys & Dolls are now in the final stages of rehearsal.
Guys & Dolls is one of Hollywood’s best-loved musicals - with the film version starring Marlon Brando and Frank Sinatra - and includes several show-stopping song and dance numbers.
“The highly-talented cast are currently adding the finishing touches to the show,” said Fiona Retallic, founder of Rising Youngstars, a charity which provides children from across Angus with the chance to appear in full-scale, full-length musicals.
“I’m delighted with progress so far. For four nights in February, Kirrie Town Hall is going to be transformed into a Broadway theatre – complete with a fabulous, all-singing, all-dancing cast of over sixty youngsters aged between 5-18 years old.”
Rising Youngstars’ production of Guys & Dolls is being performed at Kirriemuir Town Hall at 7.30 pm from Wednesday, February 8 until Saturday, February 11.
Tickets (£8 adults, £6 concessions) are available from Garlands Florist, East High Street, Forfar (01307 462978) and David Sims, Roods, Kirriemuir (01575 575757).
