A recent art exhibition held at Whitehills Health & Community Care Centre in Forfar has raised £475 for local health charities.

Friockheim artist Bob Stevens exhibited his work at the centre during December and January. The exhibition featured framed examples of his favourite subjects of flowers from his garden and old fishing boats.

Bob said: “I would like to thank the staff at Whitehills for setting up the exhibition for me and everyone who visited the show and especially those who bought a painting or two.”

The money was divided equally between the Whitehills Centre, Angus Carers Centre in Arbroath, Arbroath Infirmary Patients’ Comfort Fund and Friockehim Health Centre. Exhibitions at Whitehills are changed every eight weeks and the majority of the artworks are for sale, artists donating 20 per cent commission on all sales.
