Zero Waste Scotland volunteers from Dundee, Angus and Fife get together at this year’s Flower and Food Festival to provide advice on food waste, how to avoid it and save money in the process.
Local volunteers from Transform Dundee and Angus Zero Waste along with their colleagues from Fife Zero Waste will be in the Food Festival marquee from August 31 to September 2 to give people the low down on how to put that money back in your pocket.
They will be on hand with practical, helpful information on what foods we often waste and how to manage planning, shopping and storing to minimize waste. There will also be activities for kids as well as a Scottish food and recipe quiz with the chance of winning a delicious food hamper.
As well as useful Love Food Hate Waste tips you can get help and advice on how to recycle more things more often, try your hand at home composting and how to stop unwanted mail. You can also find out more about volunteering with your local Zero Waste Volunteer Programme.
