WEST Coast Energy have released images of what the Dodd Hill Wind Farm could look like if put into place.
The move comes after two recent public exhibitions in the local area. The exhibitions were attended by over 60 people who completed a survey relating to the project and the potential community benefit opportunity.
Jonathan Cawley, project manager for the Dodd Hill Wind Farm, said that on the whole the feedback from the public had been positive.
“I would like to thank everyone who took the time to visit our exhibitions. They provided a good opportunity to inform local residents about our proposals and answer questions about the project.
“We were also pleased to be given the opportunity to discuss a possible community benefit package comprising of a 10% share of the profits from the wind farm for the local and wider community.
“We encouraged individuals to leave their comments regarding the community benefit package and the Dodd Hill proposal and were pleased by the level of interest.
“To ensure that the local communities can continue to put forward their views, West Coast Energy will be establishing the Dodd Hill Community Liaison Forum. The Forum will help to provide open discussion amongst local communities and ensure consideration is given to local view points.”
The wind farm will be located on farm land 3.5km north of Tealing and 11km south of Forfar. Each turbine will have a capacity of up to 2.5MW giving the site a total capacity of 12.5MW.
