Drugs recovery: Forfar couple to appear in court

Tayside Police drugs branch officers recovered heroin with an estimated street value of £25,000 after suspicious vehicles were stopped at the Tesco Kingsway store’s car park in Dundee and on the northbound carriageway of A90 Dundee to Forfar road, near to the Happas junction, at around 7.30pm last night.

Three people – a 39-year-old man from Liverpool and a man and a woman from Forfar (aged 27 and 30-years-old respectively) have been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are continuing.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal and it is anticipated all three will appear at Forfar Sheriff Court tomorrow.
