THE Specsavers store in Forfar is giving primary school children in the area the opportunity to get into the festive spirit.
The staff members are asking youngsters from primary one to seven to design a pair of Christmas-themed spectacles – with the chance to win a Nintendo 3DS as the top prize in an easy-to-enter competition.
Posters are available from the Specsavers store at 34 Castle Street, Forfar, and are being distributed to the local primary schools.
The posters allow for the child to create their design, before adding their name, age and the school they attend, returning their entries to the Specsavers store as soon as possible and by closing time on Friday, December 16 at the latest.
The posters will be displayed all round the store and in the windows, so that customers and family members of participating kids can view them. And, you can vote by popping into the store to fill out a voting slip and dropping it into the voting box by closing time on Saturday, December 17.
Voting slips will also be available in next week’s issue of the Forfar Dispatch and Kirriemuir Herald – and again it is a case of cutting one out and taking it along to the shop to view the entries and make your choice.
One vote per person will be allowed and the child with the most votes will win the Nintendo 3DS. There will be two runners-up, who will each receive a sweetie hamper.
