Kirriemuir Day Care is planning to expand its service to Sunday opening.
The centre has been operating a very successful Saturday opening from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. since late last year, where up to 10 members enjoy a variety of activities during the day along with a two course lunch.
Tea or coffee is served with snacks both on arrival and later in the afternoon.
The centre at Glebe Court is now considering extending its opening times to include a Sunday; if you or someone you care for might like to have more information or register your interest in attending regularly then you are asked to contact the centre manager, Maureen Allan, on 01575 574057.
Alternatively, you can fill in a short form for more information on the centre’s web page on www.kirriedaycare.com under the tab Weekend Opening.
A nominal charge of £30 per day will be charged for the Sunday session, which will operate similar to the current Saturday session from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Individuals within the town area can be picked up and dropped off by the centre’s mini bus; those slightly further away would require to be taken to the centre and picked back up.
Individuals are encouraged to participate in the activities provided by the staff, if they wish, in an intimate and cosy environment.
There is also an opportunity for carers to consider using the ad-hoc service, which would provide a safe environment for the odd occasion where they can have time to do other things.
This service is currently available on a Saturday but will be available once Sunday sessions begin. Kirriemuir Day Care is a registered charity, with a voluntary board of directors. Further information from Maureen Allan.
