A Glamis woman is hosting a ladies night in the Plough Inn to help send her sister Karen on a trip of a lifetime to India.
Aileen Fairweather will host the ladies evening on Friday, April 20 to help her sister, Karen Stevens, take part in the Woman V Cancer Cycle India Challenge in November.
Karen (52) was diagnosed with breast cancer in October last year and she has to raise £2,800 to take part.
Aileen said: “Karen is halfway through her treatment and has decided she would like to do a cycle challenge.
“She has always wanted to go to India and saw a website for the cycle challenge. She and her friends have been organising some fund-raisers and I wanted to help. She will cover 350 kilometres.”
Karen, who lives in Maidenhead with her husband and two teenage daughters, is hoping to travel up for the ladies night which will include a wine tasting. There will also be stalls for jewellery, candles and make up.
Anyone wishing to take part is asked to contact Aileen on 07753801622.
