Vandalism and thefts investigated

POLICE officers in Kirriemuir have hit out against those who have vandalised the play park area and woodland walks on The Hill.

They are appealing for information following the vandalism which occurred between May 24 and 26 whereby person/s have written and drawn inappropriate material over the play park and benches, as well as the shelter at the top of the Hill.

A police spokesperson said: “This is a disgraceful act of vandalism which effects the whole community and not something any person would wish to read, far less the material being seen by young children. It is sad that where the police have successfully detected pervious acts of vandalism at the same area, that the message is obviously not being taken seriously - vandalism will not be tolerated.”

The police are also investigating a number of breaks ins to lock ups off Slade Road in Kirriemuir between June 4 and 9 (crime numbers 18262/12, 18261/12, 18249/12 and 18238/12). when items were stolen.
