A 14-year-old Forfar boy was taken to Ninewells Hospital on Sunday after being knocked to the ground by a rope tied across a public walkway.
Police are investigating the incident, which occurred at around 9.30 pm in Callander Drive, off Prior Road.
The youngster ran into the rope and was knocked to the ground, bumping his head. An ambulance crew was called and he was later taken to Ninewells Hospital and released after treatment.
A Tayside Police spokesperson said: “Irresponsible actions such as these have the potential to cause serious injury.
“Tayside Police would urge anyone with any information that could assist officers with their enquiries to contact the Police on 0300 111 2222.”
