The update on the council’s website stated: “Many roads in Angus continue to be significantly affected by flood water. Please be aware that due to the extensive flooding across the area warning signs may not be in place on all affected roads. Most other roads are passable with care but please drive to the weather conditions and remember there is significant surface water and run off from fields.
“We continue to work with our partners, including Police Scotland, SEPA and the fire and rescue service, to monitor the impact of the weather on communities across the area and ensure public safety. River in Brechin is due to peak at 3pm today. A flood warning has been issued for the area by SEPA.
“Further updates about weather warnings and flood alerts are available from the Met Office and SEPA.
