Coffee cash boost ahead of challenge

STAFF and volunteers at Guide Dogs in Scotland held a coffee morning on Saturday (July 9) to help raise the £7,500 target set for taking part in the Coniston Challenge later this year.

The Full Circle 2011 Team brings together all of the people involved in the production of a guide dog and includes one guide dog owner who will be participating on a tandem for the cycle event.

During the challenge the team will climb mountains and traverse fells, cycle along trails and paddle across lakes - all within a strict time limit.

At the coffee morning the team raised £142.34.

They would like to thank The Star Rock Shop in Kirriemuir for donating their Scottish tablet and the following for donating raffle prizes: Brechin Castle Centre, James McLaren & Sons Ltd, Pathhead Equestrian Centre, Pet Mate Ltd, The Sweatshop, Farmfoods, William Saddlers & Sons and Table Table at Discovery Quay.
