National Adoption Week begins on October 31, and Angus Council is looking for individuals and couples, whatever their situation, to provide caring, loving homes for the children of Angus.
Councillor Alison Andrews, convener of social work and health, said: “We are currently looking for families for children of pre-school and primary age, including sibling groups and children with additional needs.”
She added: “Adoption is a life-long commitment that can bring with it some challenges and many rewards.
“I would encourage anyone who would like to find out more to check our website at www.fosteringandadoption.angus.gov.uk or call Arbroath (01241) 435078.
“Further information can also be obtained by attending one of our open mornings, held on the first Wednesday of every month between 10 am and 12 noon at 9 Castle Street, Forfar.”
The next open morning – an extended session to mark National Adoption Week – will be held on Wednesday, November 2 between 9.30 am and 1 pm.
