Cairngorms celebration

THE HIGHLIGHT of the Cairngorms National Park’s 10th anniversary year as a national park is ‘Celebrating Cairngorms Nature’.

Celebrating Cairngorms Nature is set to be a fun family event and Richard Lochhead, the Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs and the Environment will launch the event.

Celebrating Cairngorms Nature is a day full of fun-packed activities for all the family to enjoy at the MacDonald Aviemore Resort on Saturday, May 18.

Festivities will kick off from 10 a.m. with laser deer shooting, workshops on wildlife friendly dog walking, pond dipping, wildlife watching, playing nature games and the chance to find out more about the park’s outstanding and cast selection of wildlife.

In the main tent at 11 a.m., Mr Lochhead will launch Cairngorms Nature and the Cairngorms Nature Action Plan.

There will then be the opportunity to meet many of the conservation organisations working in the park and the chance find out how you can get involved.
