ANOTHER local kids group is benefiting from the £100 sponsorship award available from the 10 Cafe Bar in Castle Street, Forfar.

The September award has gone to the Forfar Mums and Mites Toddler Group, which has been running for over 25 years.

The group is run in the Old Age Pensioners’ Hall, Chapel Street, Forfar, by mums, dads, grandparents and childminders, catering for children up to the age of five years.

The group meets twice weekly, on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9.30 am to 11.30 am, giving kids the chance to integrate and socialise with other children of a similar age and the parents/carers a chance to chat, swap parenting advice and ideas over a cuppa.

“We are continually trying to keep the group appealing to new members by having modern, clean and working toys for the children to enjoy,” explains chairperson Jenny Lovegrove.

“However, a lot of the toys need to be replaced.

“Our plan is to use the award to help introduce some new toys to the group and buy some soft play shapes.”
