American agent will help expand RMEC

Forfar-based oilfield services company RMEC has appointed an agent in Houston in line with its international growth and expansion strategy.

Jeff Messer joins RMEC with over a decade of experience in various areas of the oil industry, most recently as vice president of US sales and operations at Strad Energy Services, a provider of energy solutions and services to the North American oil industry.

He specialises in operational leadership, relationship building, change management and talent development. He will remain positioned in the US and will act as RMEC’s business agent, helping the company to seize opportunities in order for them to take steps into the US market.

The appointment comes within weeks of the company reporting its highest ever annual turnover of £9.5 million, having also increased its pressure control rental fleet and doubling its workforce over the past year.

Bryan Fagan, RMEC managing director said: “It’s fantastic to have someone on board with Jeff’s specialised background. As we continue to work with him, his experience will help us to grow our company in the US region and prepare us well for further global expansion in the future. We are very excited about this stage of growth we have entered into, which has been made possible by the team’s stellar performance over the past year. Our people are pivotal to the success of our business, and my colleagues and I are certain that Jeff will be a fantastic asset to our company.”

Jeff said: “I’m looking forward to working with RMEC and helping the company transition into the American market. RMEC is a great company and I’m looking forward to growing with them as a company.”
