Firefighters from Forfar, Kirriemuir and Brechin were called to tackle a blaze at a sawmill yesterday.

The alarm was raised at around 2.30 pm and firecrews arrived at the single storey building on Glen Ogil estate to find it well alight.

The shed is believed to have contained timber and farm machinery.

It also contained propane cylinders and a diesel tank, which ruptured during the incident.

Firefighters remained at the scene after the blaze was brought under control to cool down the affected tank and cylinders.

Specialist equipment including a command support unit from Dundee also attended the incident.
