Kirriemuir’s very own rock festival, ‘Bon Fest’, is set to be even bigger and better than ever next year.
The festival will be moved from its usual May time slot to the 15th, 16th and 17th of August in the hope that this will coincide with the unveiling of the Bon Scott statue which is planned for the centre of town.
And there are plans to bring camping to the event to try and address the accomodation problem in the town.
Graham Galloway from DD8 Music said: “I think we will definitely be going ahead and offering camping at next year’s event.
“Purely because of the accomodation situation in the town and the lack of beds for so many people coming into the area for the festival.”

Meanwhile, DD8 Music are planning another fundraiser for the Bon Scott statue in October.
The Scottish AC/DC tribute band Volts will headline a gig at the Town Hall in October with all proceeds going towards the statue fund.
