MEMBERS of the 1st Kirriemuir Boys’ Brigade Company are holding a coffee morning in the Old Parish Church halls on Saturday.
The charities the BBs have chosen to support this year are the Scottish Burned Children’s Club and HorseBack UK.
HorseBack Uk is a charity which has been created to provide a safe and secure environment to aid those serving or who have served in the armed forces who have suffered physical injury and/or acute stress as a result of their commitment to their country, by introducing them to job opportunities and developing skills and qualifications and inspiring them to a meaningful and rewarding future. The Scottish Burned Children’s Club is an organisation that helps children up to the age of 18 who have sustained burn and scald injuries. The main aims of the charity are to help these children and to provide support to their family and to play a key role in the reduction of such injuries by raising awareness of the problem and promoting safe practice in relation to the dangers associated with burns and scalds.
Support the two worthy charities by popping along on Saturday morning at 10 am, when you can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee along with pancakes and scones for £1.50.
