BELLSHILL Salvation Army Band are visiting the Forfar area once again this year and will be helping raise funds for the children’s charity Mary’s Meals.
Forfar Action of Churches Together have adopted the charity as recipients of monies raised through various events and the band is supporting this by donating all proceeds of their visit in this cause.
The visit will take place on Sunday, December 9, when the band will conduct the morning service at Letham Parish Church then visit Mountains Animal Sanctuary for a special nativity event in the afternoon before presenting this hugely popular Christmas Musical Festival in the Lowson Memorial Church in the evening.
This year’s festival will be compered by Abeer Macintyre, former BBC News presenter, and now head of support services for Mary’s Meals.
Major Jim McCluskey from The Salvation Army said: “Mary’s Meals is a worthy recipient of all proceeds raised by the band on their visit this year and I would urge all who wish to support the charity to put December 9 in their diary.”
