Police Scotland Tayside Division has introduced two experienced officers to new roles within the north section of the Angus Local Community Policing Team.
Constables Ally Hutchison and Scott Anderson form part of the newly formed Local Community Policing Team in Angus.
They will help develop relationships with residents, community councillors and partner agencies to address community concerns.
Constable Hutchison will have responsibility for the Montrose, Brechin and Edzell locality and Constable Anderson will work in Forfar and Kirriemuir.
The new community policing team will focus on reducing the number of young offenders, antisocial behaviour and violent crime.
Constables Hutchison and Anderson will be led by Sergeant Colin Echevarria, who will be looking after the north section, which includes the towns of Forfar, Kirriemuir, Montrose, Brechin and Edzell.
Sergeant Echevarria, whose previous role was an Operational Sergeant in Arbroath, said: “This is an exciting opportunity for us to work closely with our partners and communities to tackle local issues, which affect residents of Angus.”
